JioFi is a personal hotspot device that can accommodate smartphones and laptops to access the 4G high-speed internet provided by Jio. However, the internet speed may decrease if a lot of people are connected to it at the same time. The best option you have at hand is to manage your password and Wifi name. Hence, let’s go through the steps on how to change JioFi password and name (SSID).

How to Update Name and Password
For security purposes, it is essential to update your JioFi credentials from the default one. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
- Connect your device to JioFi.
- Open a web browser and go to “http://jiofi.local.html“.
(If you are using a Jio dongle, then open “jiodongle.local.html” instead.) - Click on the ‘Login’ option at the top right corner.
- Enter ‘administrator’ as the username and the password.
- Then, navigate to the ‘WiFi settings’ which you will find under the Settings tab.
- Change the password and SSID name here as per your wish. Choose a very strong one for security.
